One learns the ability to pick the weeds of stress. A basic mindfulness tip is to conduct a “five-senses” check-in. Take a deep breath and observe five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one item you can taste. My advice to you is to identify where you believe the limitation is, speak truth to it, and take action to begin doing things differently. Being mindful will help cue where a pivot needs to occur.
For example, I struggle with letting the mental obstacles I create prevent me from obtaining what I wish to see come to fruition. Through mindfulness, I create awareness of a story or lie I tell, and I give myself the chance to clarify. I would then choose to believe the truth about my obstacle and my ability to overcome it.

For me, mindfulness is like the secret sauce that adds flavor to my overall happiness. When you’re dealing with clients, negotiations, and the constant juggle of tasks, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Mindfulness helps me stay centered, making it easier to navigate challenges with a clear head.

It could be as simple as feeling the warmth of sunlight or the texture of an object in your hand. Personally, I love playing volleyball with friends, and having that outlet allows me to de-stress and also prevents me from looking at my phone while I am out there on the court. When I am done playing, I feel refreshed, recharged, and ready to tackle the next task at hand.
